Covert? No!
This thing has 940 nm Infrared LEDs which give off very little visible light, the idea being that it won't spook wildlife and won't signal its presence to intruders, should you want to use it as a security device. The thing is, there is a very bright red indicator LED which flashes every time the unit detects movement, and it don't be turned off! This is situated amongst the IR LEDs which illuminate the subject, so if you try and cover it up, you'll ruin the low-light performance. Utterly useless.

An unattractive paperweight.
0 of 4 found this helpful I bought this as a bedroom addition to a Google Home network which already contains a full size Google Home and a Chromecast. Both these devices were set up and running easily in a matter of minutes.
The Google Home Mini simply refused to configure, however, given several hours of effort usung three different Google accounts and five different Android devices.
Returned for refund.
