Be sure your DISH receiver supports 2 TVs
I bought this because I had purchased a DISH211 several years ago. I liked the feel of it in my hand, and it still works just fine. So, when I wanted to replace the original remote that came with the DISH, I thought that this remote was the one to buy. Unfortunately, when I programmed the new DISH211, the one that I bought several years ago wouldn't work any longer. I tried all sorts of things to get both remotes to work at the same time, but as soon as one was programmed the other would stop working. I even tried to program the new DISH211 key-by-key using the original remote that came with the DISH. I also tried to program the new DISH211 key-by-key for the SAT and AUX buttons. But, in the end, there wasn't any way to get both of the DISH211s to work at the same time. Then, in one place in the manual was a hint at why that was the case. And, that is because my DISH receiver would only support 1 TV (not 2). In the end, the problem is that I purchased the wrong product. I don't fault the remote, but it would have been nice to have known this fact before purchasing a second DISH211.
