Johnny Appleseed

This is the best documentary that I have ever seen about a musician/artist. The use of vintage photos and videos intermixed with contemporary interviews is elagantly accomplished. My favorite is the metaphor of the campfire. To me, Strummer drew people together with both his light and his warmth. The flickering flames showed the faces of his friends and comrades in the light that was Strummer. I personally appreciated the short sound clips of Strummer from his BBC radio show. These were chosen with perfection.
