Predator-More Than True Crime
The author, Jack Olsen, was one of the best true crime writers ever to investigate a case. He passed away several years ago, but left behind some great reading. I had read several other books by him, and enjoyed them so much that I bought this one also. This book about a case that actually happened in the northwest was thoroughly researched, and his style of writing makes it hard to put the book down. He does not present a slanted point of wiew, just the facts, allowing you to see that there are good and bad in every walk of life, even in the police. It is the story of how one mans' quest for advancement twists the lives of many people destroying them in the process. You walk away with some new insights on the justice system, and how it works.

Capote (2006,DVD)
I enjoyed the film because it is an unusual, but very interesting true story of part of Truman Capotes' life. I also thought Seymore Hoffman did an excellent job of portraying Capote. I had seen the movie once before and liked it so well that I deceided to buy it for myself.

The Boston Stranglers - A Different View
I am a fan of true crime, especially the classic cases. Having read the Boston Strangler long ago, I always felt there were many unanswered questions in the investigation. I bought this book, The Boston Stranglers, to see if it could shed some light on any of those questions. What an eye-opener it was! After reading this book, I am thoroughly convinced that Albert DeSalvo was indeed NOT the Boston Strangler. The amount of research that went into this book was exhausting. I suggest this book - read it and make up your own mind.
