High Defenition quality, ability to add modules as you grow
The HDP500 is a great printer. It's about one of the only printers that is non DTC (Direct To Card) meaning the printer will use a re-transfer film to put the ribbon onto the film and then re-tranfer onto the card saving the print head of much wear and tear. Also because of the re-transfer process you get an OVER THE EDGE print so no white border on the card. One drawback is the printer lacks monochrome ribbons. The only monochrome ribbon is black and if you want to print white on a red card, this printer is not for you.
