Not Recommended.
The Highlander Starav 85 Litre Rucksack.
Initially it looks the business but after 3 months of use the weakness of this Rucksack came clear.
The major problem with it is the way it distributes the weight of the contents of the rucksack. There is a large Hook & Loop buckle which weaves in and out of the some straps in the centre either side of the shoulder harnesses. This buckle takes the full weight of the Rucksack and distributes the weight to the shoulder harnesses. This is fine but the straps the Hook and Loop buckle weaves in and out of (known as “triple locking system “) are sewn with a very weak thread and only one run of stitching.
Because of the size of this rucksack it should be able to take a reasonable weight but due to the weakness as described above this is a very big failing and can be alarming while walking when the straps start to give way. If you carry some weight while walking and avoid this one like the plague!!
