This was for my daughter, who was gushing over this thing (the front flips to reveal the keyboard). Just my own opinion, but the mechanism that flips is out doesn't look that sturdy. We'll see? :) But on dropping the thing, (naturally), the thing comes apart easily. Too easily. Get a cover... because... if the battery comes out (and it will), you lose all your contacts. Seriously, look it up. And you have to reinput all of them. This took her about two hours to do manually (luckily her old phone still had them on the phone and not on the sim). And about the sim, she can't figure out how to load them on the sim and not the phone. And she's smarter about that them me, so there's no way I'm figuring it out. But 15 she knows everything, and if not, then there's Google.
It does feel sturdy in your hands, call quality is very good, camera is just so-so (but I don't feel a phone should have a camera - it's a PHONE!), full qwerty keyboard is very nice, cool feature is the numbers are a different color to differentiate them from the rest of the keyboard). The unlocked version picked up her AT&T sim and nothing was needed to connect to their cell network. I was impressed by that - I was sure there was something that had had to be done. It's bigger than my G3, and heavier. If it was an android I'd probably get one myself, even if it is 2 yrs old on the market.
