Kinda Poor....
0 of 1 found this helpful Phantasm III: Lord of the Dead was your basic B-Grade flick with some decent f/x and scares, but low on the plot. Poor acting, poor cinematography, etc. Thought the dead would have played a bigger part in the movie, but no - Flying silver Ninja-balls that open into a death-pool match. Kudos for the inter-racial love affair. Enjoy!

Not his best, but still alright
Dispatch is not Bentley Little's best work, but it is still alright nonetheless. Bentley Little fiction always has a unique twistedness in it, which this one does, you can count on it. This one is similar in that it is other worldly and beyond reasonable expectations, which he does so well. How Dispatch differs is that the first 3/4 of the book is the same thing regurgitated over and over in different situations and progressions. The last 1/4 of the book is where you the reader finally finds out the necessity of where the first 3/4 of the book was going. Of coarse it had its moments, which can only be provided by Little's warped mind, but at the end your left wondering if it was all necessary, especially with such an unsympathetic protagonist. Bottom line is that any read by Bentley Little is a good read, including Dispatch.

A Pretty Good Flick!
3 of 3 found this helpful The Skeleton Key starring Kate Hudson was a much better movie than I expected. Many recently released Horror/Suspense movies are completely void of any real scary moments, purely relying on visual shock value and/or gore. I expected this to be just the same - but it wasn't! It was a pretty good movie with some genuine scary moments, and just when you think you know who the villian is - you're wrong. Its doesn't have a campy ending either, it leaves you putting the pieces of the puzzle back together to see how it got there. It is rated PG-13, but contains violence, disturbing images, and it says that it contains partial nudity - but it really doesn't. Actually, there is nothing objectionable about the film. It was a good flick and you can't go wrong with picking it up on ebay for the cheap! Enjoy!
