Brackets good, supplied screws a waste of time.
The brackets are good and a good selection in the box. However I would suggest the supplier discontinue the screws supplied, they are poor quality and in my case just moved about in the box during postage and actually caused damage to the clasp. No one will use the supplied screws , well not if you want a secure fixing .

Not the quality of the VW part but a fraction of the price.
It seemed sturdy enough but when I took the original badge off my VW you could tell the difference in quality between the two. The old badge was much heavier and just felt more expensive. However the original part had failed ( white worm all over the badge face and the damping mechanism had seized a little ) so I purchased this as the VW part list price is very expensive. For the price I am happy , it fitted in well and I now have a nice looking working rear boot mechanism/badge again. For those thinking of doing this there are a couple of things that make the job tricky. Replacing the hatch interior trim is very fiddly - just take your time. Also VW have placed the window wiper motor over the bottom screw of the badge so it needs to be unscrewed and jiggled around to get access with a screwdriver with star nut extension you won't get a socket ratchet on there I don't think without removing the motor.
If you are fitting it onto a Mk5 ( this is a MK6 badge ) as I did you will need to get a bit of extra play from the wiring loom to reach the position of the new electrical socket on the badge. Also note there is no damping mechanism as on the Mk5 but the action is fine and I quite like it. Hope this helps.

Works well but be patient
I have used this for many years, on a gravel driveway in a previous house and now on block paving on this one. It always works providing you mix it correctly and you apply it on a dry calm day with no rain forecast. I think some people expect it to start working in hours but it will be days before you see signs it is working and then a few more days before they have withered away. I then burn off the remnants with a weed burner.
