Bad welds on T joint

I have two of these stands. One has stood the test of time and use for about 5 years, the one I just received lasted about 3 minutes - I put my 70lb combo amp on it (it's rated to hold 90lbs) and immediately the two side weld on the T Joint tore apart. Had a friend weld and reinforce it for me at no cost - bot obviously I received a defective unit.
