I run a small family business from home, restoring beautiful vintage Barbie dolls. My favourite dolls are Superstar era Barbies, though I work on dolls of all eras, also ranging to Sindy, Pippa etc.
I love what I do and enjoy watching the dolls come back to life with some TLC!
Each doll will require varying work, some more than others. It includes a thorough wash and deep condition to the hair, gently detangling the hair, partially/fully re-rooting, resetting curls / restoring straight hairstyles & factory hairline partings, touching up paint, minimizing (or removing) chew marks, buffing out surface scratches, removing any stains to doll or clothing, restoring original shape to head or body, rebodying or changing body parts when necessary, acquiring/repairing their clothing & making them replacement jewellery.
I'm always asked, and yes I am a collector myself. I strive to make sure my customers love opening their packages and seeing a doll restored to her former beauty!
