Overheating issue

When I plugged in the console it was working fine at first until it lost connection with the console so I unplugged it and plugged it back in but this time the game pad was very close to the console it was once again working until the same thing happened I put my hand on the console and the console was very hot so I assumed the console was overheating. Not worth the money
