A breathtaking performance

If you know anything about Dead Can Dance and Lisa Gerrard, you know that this is not pop music, in any sense. More than interesting, its more "performance music." The elegance of the sounds blending the deep and mysterious tones of voice and synthesized sounds is first rate, again, because of the superior control and depth that Lisa Gerard brings to the sound stage. Hers is a unique talent, on the dark side, which is probably why she does so much motion picture work. Worth owning at any price.

Another amazing vocal performance and new age triumph!

Dead Can Dance is an amazing collaborative by Lisa Gerrard and Brendon Perry. While Perry can claim high marks for the instrumental innovations, his counterpart is the ethereal vocal performance by Lisa Gerrard. While it would be theoretically possible to duplicate the instrument portion, Gerrard's voice and vocal performance proves she is an international treasure that defies imitation. She could be likened to a much deeper, darker Enya, and her performance on this album bears witness to the extroadinary capabilities of the human voice (even though it can sound at times inhuman!). A wonderful performance! Caution: this should be listened to with above average audio equipment or you might not "get it!"
