Millions die, no dead bodies

I enjoyed it in 3D. I thought the CGI disasters were the best I've ever seen. But I noticed a very strange thing: despite the greatest disaster the world has ever seen, there are no dead bodies in this film. For some reason, it is completely sanitized, removing the human element.
