Nice KEF KHT1005.2GB 5.1 Subwoofer Satellite System with KUBE-1 Subwoofer
12 December 2019
The most compact and rugged 2 way speakers ever created further perfected in its 2nd generation. These tiny things sound impossibly huge.
This is the 2nd revision of the original KEF EGG that started the whole EGG series which eventually lead to experiments that coalesced with the 3001SEs, the largest and most sophisticated EGGs which ultimately hatched their ambitious BLADE and the LS50s. It all started with experimenting with what's possibly with a 2 way single point array placed in a more exotic form factor that would best suit how we listen, I e. in wide screen. Rather than firing from a sphere which has been tried to death and a wild goose chase based on the perfect mono speaker in an anechoic chamber, real life sound stages are broader than they are wide and thus a spherical baffle actually doesn't make any sense. Why would you want as much vertical dispersion as wide dispersion when all that you'd get is more undesirable ceiling and floor reflections? The KEF Eggs perfected the idea of the ideal baffle shape being an oblong sphere, taller than it is wide in order for the dispersion of sound in a stereo pair to be as wide as possible while minimizing floor and ceiling reflection which leads to smeared audio. The 1001s were first to play with this concept stretching the boundaries of minimalism to create the smallest 2 way speaker possible with a frequency range that is meant to be crossed over with a subwoofer, while the speakers themselves generate a seemingly impossibly large sound stage for the directional frequencies that make up the 3D wide screen sound stage. These speakers would work great as a 2.1 stereo set near field or far field in a smaller room. Their single point driver array allows them to sound exactly the same no matter where you are near far or side to side due to the sound from high the woofer and the tweeter hitting your ears at the same time no matter the angle. Beyond that they also make perfect unobtrusive wall mounted satellite speakers for surround sound that also lends its single point goodness to allow for flexible seating for you or your guests so that no one is ever in the bad seat, at least as far as audio is concerned. One of my favorite things about them however is how rugged and compact they are for travel. With a small portable stereo Amp, you can toss these in a bag and they make the best studio monitors whether you're modeling ambisonic 3D audio or your garage band mix. Sure they're small and sure their larger siblings dig down deeper, sound larger, and hit harder but these little agile gems have their place for anyone who wants the most minimal setup possible, or ultra wide range compact passive monitors. There are no speakers that are this compact rugged and versatile.
SodaStream Fizzi Sparkling Water Maker Carbonator not Included White

it's a really neat idea and mostly works well but one critical flaw. there needs to be a release button on the bottle.
the sodastream is an great idea and one of those things I'm really surprised hasn't always been around. unfortunately for an item that retails at over 100 dollars it really should be more sturdy and thoughtfully designed. you place the bottle into a nozzle with a gasket and as the pressure from. the co2 builds the gasket and the bottle pressurize to form an unbreakable seal. this is great during the pressurisation process but how do you remove the thing once it's been pressurized? the item is about 2 pounds about 2 feet tall and the bottle is a full litre of carbonated liquid now locked sealed against the gasket. the only way to remove it is with a lot of force that usually feels like you're gonna break the thing and the moment the seal breaks the machine and the machine flings backward and smashes into the wall. a button to release the gasket by simply pulling it up would make the process so much smoother.

Samsung Galaxy Note8 Alcantara Cover, Black
06 December 2018
the best phone currently on the market. the lsesg thing to a real life James Bond gadget
no joke at all. you can do anything with this device and at at a professional level at that. S and Note series galaxies are the only Android devices secure enough to be used for high security and are certified worldwide including by the NSA for internal use. you can run two entirely independent android environments at once for extra security, the camera is pro level, there's a Wacom stylus for art, editing and as a virtual mouse, galaxies are the only devices like the iPhone that support pro audio and can even run iOS core audio ports to use as a digital audio work station or a life audio processor in zero latency 24 bit. with DEX the thing becomes a multitasking PC and you can even use it for VR. other features include S pay which unlike Apple pay or Google pay actually works anywhere and it gives you points you can use to redeem free money, gift certs and other products. The display is world class. Try any of thsh in a Google Pixel or iPhone.
