problem solved
I have not been able to replace two broken remotes for ages - I was told that Merlin has gone out of business. Needing to be able to open the doors from the car I looked for a solution, and found it on the other side of the world. Two shiny much better quality remotes arrived, before the date stated, and were successfully set up in seconds, following the clear and easy instructions. Many thanks, problem solved.
