Sony Ericsson W760a Walkman - Hands on
I wanted to run the phone for a week and really
test out all the features on it. It is a very reliable phone, very
easy to learn for any beginner in my opinion. This phone is actually
one I chose to advance to from my Motorola Razr V2 phone. The battery
life is excellent as it lasts for quite a long time. To test the
battery, I actually used the phone so the battery was close to being
run all the way down to where there was basically nothing left on it
(one bar left) then plugged it in for a recharge. The key points
discovered with battery use were 1) the plug into the phone for the
charger fits only one way, 2) when the plug is fitted into the phone
(on the side) it actually fits flush to the phone, and 3) to ensure
that the plug will always be correctly fitted into the phone the key
to remember is to use the side that has a logo on it, if there is no
logo, turn it over. One final thought with the recharger plug, when
removing it from the phone there might be the need for a slight tug
from the phone however that is because the charger fits snugly to the
phone which ensures a good solid connection.
In my testing, I browsed the Internet to see how the ease of the phone
worked and I found it to be quite easy for browsing. I also browsed
music tones to just browse even though the phone comes with a variety
I was curious to see what else was available. With this model I could
set up my own audio on it however I have not been able to do so just
yet, that is something which I will do in the future when I receive
the necessary wire. I have made use of the text messaging which is a
breeze in comparison to my previous phone as it moves so much smoother.
You can actually set up your templates however I chose not to. There
is a capability to log into instant messengers however I chose not to
since I use them on the computer more than I do my mobile device.
The last thing to be tested on the phone was the camera capability and
that is outright amazing! The digital camera provided photos with
clear and full of clarity. This phone was worth the purchase and I am
very happy with it. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cell
phone or wanting to upgrade from what they have.
