East of Eden is in My Top 10
I have to admit, the first time I read this book was in college. It was an assigned book for an intro English lit class. When I picked it up at the book store, I took one look at it, and I wanted to chuck it as far away from me as possible. What could I possibly like in a book written in the 50's? That is what I thought. Boy was I wrong. This is now one of my all time favorite books. It weaves together the Biblical story of Cain and Abel, and the history of California's Salinas Valley. Biblical references aside, this is an all around great story. Even if you are not Christian, the book is still a worthwhile buy. The plots in this book are enough to hold any readers interest, Christian or not. It is a tale of a family. An American family, with problems just like everyone else. Now, if you are Christian and you have at least heard of the story of Cain and Abel, this story is a great way to learn a little more Cain and Abel. Having read most of the Bible myself, I have to say it can be somewhat confusing at times. East of Eden is written in a style very accessible to the average reader. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes to read and loves a good story, with trials and tribulation within an average American family. And, a side note, to anyone that reads their books more than once. I would suggest the hardcover editions because they last so much longer.

Guitar Hero III - Awesome addition to Wii game titles
Graphics Clearly this game is made for the purpose of the guitar playing, and not for the amazing lifelike graphics. That being said, activision did a great job with the style of graphics used. The colors are great, and there is nice detail included in characters and guitars. Sound The sound track in this game is superb. They've got it all from Aerosmith, ZZ top, and Black Sabbath, to AFI, The Killers, and Weezer. The selection has a very wide range, and will have you hooked right away. To see a full list of songs included on this game see my Guitar Hero III Song List guide. Gameplay The overall style is the same with Guitar Hero III, as the last; however, there are slight changes/improvements in the display hud, streak notifications, and the “star power” activator is much easier to get. The game is addicting and great fun. Replay This is definitely worthy of replay. I myself have spent countless hours playing it already. It is a great game that will not get old quick. Conclusion This game is a 10 in my book. The song list is phenomenal, the game play is relatively the same, but there are enough changes in the game to start fresh from the last installment. The new guitar is a huge improvement. It is heavier than the previous, and seems much more durable. I would recommend this game to any who loved the other or enjoy music and rhythm.

The Day After Tomorrow
While the plot line and dialogs leave a bit to be desired, the movie on the whole is an excellent disaster film. The special effects are top notch, and the movie is filled with lots of them. If you are really into having a very well developed plot and characters this is not the movie for you. If you like to see special effects and alot of action, while having a story to follow, you will love it. And considering this being Blu-ray, if you have the conponents to watch this on blue-ray in 1080p, it is worth it. It makes the special effects just that much better. The Day After Tomorrow (2007, Blu-ray Disc) is not for everyone. I enjoyed it, and the main plot is an interesting one. The old global-warming will destroy the world.
