Halfway between model and toy

Standard Matchbox quality with the usual simple but precise execution. Body casting: quite nice, with only some minor blemishes along the roof line and the A pillar. (These are easy fixes, when the model gets a new paint job) Base: also cast alloy with a reasonable amount of detail. Rolling: no suspension, but pretty nice wheels, rolls with very little wobble, hardly noticeable. Interior: basic one piece fold-up red plastic with a nice proportional period steering wheel. Features: the only detailed part is the windscreen, with a cast-on wiper and raised edges, painted black to represent rubber seal. Simple yet optically effective touch. Headlights are simply chromed and the one on the right seems to be off on almost every example I have seen. No hinges, handles or anything else is picked out in silver, but two dots for the rear lights. Verdict: well made solid little car, which is easy to pull apart, ready for upgrades. Displays well straight out of the box but still can be handled without risking to break off tiny parts. Seems to be available in two versions, both for well under $10 most of the time.

Pros: - perfect fit, no fiddly bits jut pop it in and go just like the original - clear print, absolutely no cheap refill feeling about it - lasts long enough - excellent value for money Cons: - cannot find any...

Good quality and nice finish

I bought a pair of these and got items from different batches (made in Indonesia and made in Taiwan) However the quality is absolutely consistent across the two, but the exit point of the wires on back of the units deviates within a radius of about 8 mm. This hampers uniform mounting as the back almost sits flush with the surface that the light is mounted to. Other than that the overall finish is really good, the chrome plating is perfect. A nice detail is the clear push-in plugs for the screw holes, though once in, they cannot be removed without damage, should the screws need re-tightening. I am happy with this purchase and would recommend this product.
