BlackBerry Pearl
2 of 2 found this helpful BlackBerry is good at what they do. The call quality of this phone is great, and text messaging is fast and easy. The phone has tons of memory and can keep lots and lots of messages saved (in the thousands). Phone book organization is convenient, letting you enter multiple numbers (home, mobile, work) as well as email addresses and other information under a single contact. The phone almost never lags and is one of my personal favorites.

Sidekick Slide
I bought this phone as a replacement for a malfunctioning phone I was using at the time. I had a Sidekick previously, and upon buying this phone I had no idea that the 100-text limit was not improved. A huge problem was that this phone kept resetting when I slid the screen up or down, and upon researching, I discovered that this was a manufacturing error on the part of Motorola. This was incredibly inconvenient -- resetting wipes out everything from phone contacts to saved text messages and everything else imaginable. Because the problem is caused from the battery sitting loose, I stuck a piece of paper and the problem became fairly rare, although it did not stop. The overall performance of the phone is satisfactory and phone call quality is good. Overall, I give this phone an average rating. Nothing special.
