Red Carbolic Soap
2 of 3 found this helpful If you are looking for an alternative to standard Deet Based Repellent, look no further than Carbolic Soap, This has been used in the tropics for decades as well as parts of Europe to act as a repellent, by taking a shower with it, then going out doors. The only thing you might find offensive, is the smell of it, if you can get over its odor, then you have a fine product to work with. Up here in Maine, we have lots of Mosquitoes, and the ever annoying Black Flies. So i was looking for a less intense way of dealing with this, and i found it using Carbolic Soap. Just remember to take a shower in any other soap the is less Olfactory offensive to your senses, and you'll do fine.

A must have for starting clones!!!
If you are starting plants (particularly Cannabis plants) you need this to relieve the shock of being chopped off the mother plant, and being dipped into the rooting gel and stuck in the growing medium. Without this, the cuttings will just simply wilt and die within a couple of days! The way i used this, i would spray this on my clones, every couple of days along with some light feeding and watering, within a couple of weeks, they will sprout some roots, and be ready for transplanting within 3 weeks. This is a must have product if you want successfully grow Cannabis.

Works As Advertised, Best for really dry climates. Great Remote conntrol.
Works fine, makes your room at least 10 degrees cooler. The only thing you have to realize, is that the unit is an evaporative cooler, which runs air over a cloth pad that cools the air while the water vapor evaporates. This means that if your relative humidity is above 40%, it will not be too effective.
Adding more moisture to an already hot and muggy room. I followed the instructions on using th 2 ice blocks that come with the unit along with some chilled water, and a bucket full of ice, and the unit was able to cool the room for about an hour and a half. Then it became a muggy mess. After that experiment, i turned my regular air-conditioner back on to coll the room and dry it out. All is not lost though, it has a very nice remote control, and very versatile fan. Which i use in conjunction with my air-conditioner to cool my bedroom. The unit features a "Swivel" function that imitates the oscillating fans. This unit would be ideal if you are living in the Arid regions of the world, with low relative humidity. Otherwise get yourself an nice 12" fan. Bear in mind, if you use this off the grid, it runs on 120 volts AC, and uses about 63 watts of power. Along with a gallon of water every 8-12 hours.
