I’m a bit surprised this one hasn’t been more popular out here. It’s a very impressive watch. This was a Japan only model, only available in the states through import. Japan has several models like that, the joke being that they like to keep the best for themselves lol
What got me interested is the nod to Omega, the "wooden decks of luxury sailboats” design on the dial.
The Omega decks on the face are lovely. The lugs have a finely sculpted angular turn that surrounds the wrist. The crown guards are unique on a sport/dress watch.
The crown turns amazingly smoothly and easily, even with plenty of winding. A great stress reliever!
The 39.5 mm diameter is about perfect. The dial is laid out wonderfully here, making it just right. Proportion is great too with an 11 mm height.
I prefer this model with the leather strap, and it is a pretty good quality strap, soft and supple and a fine quality. I have owned the bracelet models too, and wore them on leather straps.
The 6R15 is a very fine movement. Dependable and strong. Seikos can be amazingly accurate. Seiko is truly an amazing company that gives alot of value for the money.
I think the SARB033 is the darling of the line and at about $100 cheaper seems to garner more attention out here. Again, I am surprised this one isn’t killing it!
I sincerely feel that at this price, this cannot be beat. But one problem, these are now hard to find, discontinued and can be pricey...
I've enjoyed good coffee from my drip machine for years. But my friend's coffee was always the best. He is from Croatia and introduced me to this method. I also recently got an electric percolator, mostly out of curiosity, since I've used the Bialetti and Vev Vigano stovetop moka pots for the last 2-3 years, since around 2014. The percolator is interesting and good, but still not as good as the Bialetti. The Bialetti also makes it on the strong side. And the aluminum pots are very hot, hotter than the stainless. I will now reveal my little secret. The older ones are made in Italy and are better made, better machined, milled and just kind of better. The top and bottom fit better, no dripping. Easily available for about twenty bucks, just unbeatable... and fun! And easy to make and easy to clean. Simply rinse it when done and cooled off. It will start to build up "coffee residue" which enhances the flavor. And they make any brand taste better. The 6-cup is a great size. It makes about 12 ounces of coffee, their cups are about 2 ounce cups, based on espresso. Gotta go now, time for a delicious cup...

Hot, hot item!
After years of blowing out my ears, I have grown to love acoustic music, especially bluegrass. Always kind of liked it, but have grown to love it. Also love the period of this cd, '59-'63; what a hot time for music! I would say everything was advancing. Anyway, here you have the masters, in one of the most significant forums, the Newport Festival... can't go wrong on this one! In fact,I think I'm gonna take it for a spin right now!
