Mostly good, but a couple of niggles.
It looks good and being made of steel should last better than the original fibre-glass tank. The original had a pinhole leak that I repaired using some very good sealant from America but it only lasted about 4 months.
Bad points are: 1. The filler cap latching lever does not hold the cap closed very well, I may have to do a bit of filing to make it safe. 2. The threaded holes for the taps are bigger than the originals so the original taps will not fit. I am waiting for two taps of the correct size for the new tank to arrive but they have not turned up after several weeks. It would help if I knew what the thread in the new tank is! Then I might be able to find an adapter to enable the use of the original taps. BSP is a fiendish thread, there are several different types including tapered, and the sizes don't always match either the inner or outer pipe diameters.
So the B44 is not on the road yet, despite having had the new tank for about a month.

Well made, look great
These gold-coloured tank badges look superb against my new B44 maroon-and-cream steel tank from India. Not original perhaps, but after more than 50 years there's a few other things that aren't original so that doesn't bother me. I have a bit more work to do before putting the tank on so I havn't fitted the badges yet. I'm hoping I won't have a problem there because the badges need four tiny screws (two each) to hold them in place and I'm not sure I've got any! The original screws are far too big but they were holding plastic badges to fibre-glass so that is probably why.

An experience not to be missed.
1 of 1 found this helpful The film is brilliant, we all know that. So I'll stick to the technicalities. Considering the technology available at the time, everything is pretty good. The colour is not as intense as we are used to these days. The sound is not hi-fi but it is easily clear enough for the vast majority of people, which is something that cannot be said for some recently-produced films! The stereo is good enough. The special effects are well executed with no help from CGI, which didn't exist in the 1930's.
The 4-disk set means that none of them are double-sided, they are just plain old ordinary single-sided DVD's. Ordering this product was a deliberate choice on my part because my research indicated that there is no proper standard covering double-sided DVD's in the UK and therefore they can be very unreliable up to the point of not working at all on some DVD players. I have not experienced any trouble with this 4-disk set.
The sleeve might have seen better days, the corners showing signs of abrasion. But the main surfaces of the sleeve and all of the folding box inside it which contains the 4 disks are fine.
So, nothing unexpected there. The price is good, delivery was fast and trouble-free, and if you are a Gone With The Wind devotee this product is well worth getting. But be careful! I bought it as a present, never having seen the film before in my life. Having watched it all the way through in one sitting in the company of my friend, all four hours of it without falling asleep once, I am in great danger of becoming a devotee myself! You have been warned...
