FUNKED UP AND CHILLED OUT CANDY!
i don't want to say this is not a good CD, but there are other Candy Dulfer CDs that have sintilated the senses more. Dulfer addicts will want this CD. it's kind of an extension of Candy Store. those that are exploring Dulfer for the first time may want to try out other CDs first. The two live CDs from earlier this decade are good fun choices. (Live In Amsterdam and Live at Montreux.) What Does It Take is a great studio CD.

bromberg the bass player
A couple Bromberg originals and more cover tunes make this a fun CD. THere's plenty of his usually great bass playing on this CD, and why not with a tribute to JACO, the penultimate bass player. A REMARK YOU MADE is great. THE CHICKEN is still the best funky tune Jaco ever did, and Bromberg doesn't disappoint. not for the jazz purist for sure. i have played this CD at work several times and someone always stops and comments about "who's on bass?" "can I borrow that?" Bromberg fans needs this.
