To the rescue of a White Knight.
Having checked eBay I found this element at what I could only describe as a bargain price, one of the other parts supplier sites was actually quoting £70+ for an element with carriage on top of that. I decided that for the price of this element I'd give it a go and I was not disappointed.
On arrival the element proved to be identical to the original in every aspect, even down to the same resistance measurement as the original and thus rated at 2500W. The fixing bracket and element dimensions were also identical to the original so fitting it was a breeze.
When fitted the element proved to operate correctly and if anything the dryer seems to be more efficient than it was when last working 'normally'.
For anyone considering one of these elements they are fairly straight forward to fit, just search YouTube and they have an excellent video which covers several models of dryer which use this very same element.

Small size but packs a might punch.
0 of 1 found this helpful On receiving this power pack I was quite taken aback by just how small the unit is, still I had seen some YouTube videos extolling the virtues of similar items and I was thus prepared to keep an open mind.
Not wishing to discharge the battery in my own car I placed the unit in the boot and took it to work with me as inevitably there will always be a customer looking for a jump start for their vehicle at some point.
Sure enough after a few weeks had passed a lady customer approached me and asked if anyone could assist her with a jump start for her 'car', she informed me that she had jump leads in the boot but I told her of my new starter pack that I was waiting to try out and she happily agreed to that course of action so I went and retrieved the pack from my car and accompanied her to the car park whereupon my heart immediately sank as she took me to her 'car', a Range Rover Vogue diesel, I advised her that the pack was probably not powerful enough but said I would have a go anyway.
As about 15 minutes had passed I asked her to try starting the car again under its own power but nothing, just the click of the solenoid and no movement from the starter motor itself. I connected up the starter pack and asked the lady to try again, I was absolutely amazed when her vehicle started on the first turn of the key, when I disconnected the pack I checked the LED status lights which still showed full charge, to say I was impressed is the under statement of the year.
This little pack performed faultlessly, it is well built and is of reasonably good quality, the only thing I would change on it would be to have longer and possibly thicker cables, having said that they did the job admirably and there was no discernible sign of the cables getting hot never mind actually overheating.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this unit to anyone and as it has lights and USB sockets as well as an output jack I would go so far as to say everyone should have one.

Essential adapter.
There is very little I can say about this adapter except that it does the job it is intended to do and it does it very well at an excellent price,
The boards are small, well made and come with a short SATA cable and power supply cable, the adapter can be used to connect an older PATA hard drive/DVD drive to a SATA connector on a motherboard or alternatively to connect a newer SATA hard drive/DVD drive to a motherboard with an old IDE PATA connector.
I have even used one in an old, but very good, CCTV DVR, which only had an older IDE PATA connector, in order to connect a newer, higher capacity, SATA hard drive without any problems what so ever.
I like these so much I ordered some more to have them in readiness for the next time I need one.
The only downside I can think of may be the total lack of any sort of instructions for anyone not too familiar with this type of device but the connectors on the board are clearly labelled so I did not find it any problem as to how to connect and it.
All in all highly recommended.
