Misting System

I used this module to control a solenoid valve that supplies water for 10 seconds, every 10 minutes to a few misting nozzles for the purpose of plant propagation by rooting cuttings. This product worked well for my purpose and was a low cost way to expand my gardening hobby.

Bernzomatic AL3 Aluminum Brazing/Welding Rods with 12-Inch Rods of Working

This did not work out for me

I thought that I could use this product to repair some welds on my aluminum utility trailer. I am a retired pipe fitter, so I have a lot of experience welding and soldering. Maybe this product will work for repairing storm windows, but it would not stick to aluminum angle iron for me.

Impressed a retired plumber

I have several of these valves that I use in my intermittent mist system to propagate nursery plants. Some of them have been in use for several years now, opening every 10 minutes for 3 seconds, all summer long. I like that these valves are dependable, relatively inexpensive, and have a strainer screen to help keep dirt out of the valve (I collect rainwater and sometimes I get debris from my gutters in my plant watering system). I also like the selection of solenoid voltage. There is a good selection of pipe connections available on these valves from this supplier, but (in my opinion as a retired plumber) this 1/2 NPS valve tightens well inside a standard 1/2"FIP fitting and is the best valve to buy and adapt to whatever pipe size you want to use.
