Not for small animals
1 of 1 found this helpful I purchased this unit to see what animals were destroying my garden that I work hard to grow. I live in an urban area
away from rural areas. A pack of Raccoons were hitting my yard almost every night. The A-5 has a very narrow field of view, and the movie mode does not seem to capture raccoon size animals at all. I use the 3 shot mode all the time because of that. The 3 shot mode works OK, but they have to be near the center of the camera's view to trigger it to work. My garden area is only spread over a 22 foot distance. Well within its claimed range. I was hoping for better.
