Original Bose "Credit card" remote
The remote feels small and thin, but despite my big hands and fingers, the spacing of keys and the logical lay out make it easy to use. The different colored buttons makes it easy to operate even if I don't have my glasses, or if the lights are dimmed in the room. The design is infrared, not radio frequency, so you must point the remote at the radio. But it easily transmits across the room and down the hallway. The remote Uses a single coin size battery which is a cinch to replace without tools.

Good successor to the AR 1-MS
I bought these to replace my AR 1-MS acoustic suspension speakers who's 4" woofer surrounds disintegrated. These boxes are slightly larger, with a 5 1/4" woofer in a ported enclosure and a dome tweeter in the center of a small horn moulded into the plastic cabinet face.
The sound is a bit smoother in the high end than the 1-MS' 3/4" dome tweeters but the dispersion through the room is limited due to the semi-horn. After some careful aiming I sat in the sweet spot inside the horn's coverage and listened for a few hours with a broad range of music from soft rock to heavy metal, disco and pop synthesizer. The tonal balance seems natural and pleasant to listen to.
I expected the bass to be boomy from these small ported boxes but it is not. While the bass of the 1-MS is punchy and very much alive, the Edge is well blended and never stands out. On most music I felt the Edge speakers were bass anaemic, but after feeding them some disco and funk at room filling volumes I realized the bass was there, but just tight and well controlled. I suspect the design rolls off anything below what the speaker can handle because I never noticed any popping, doubling or other bass distortion.
Efficiency is typical of a small speaker and similar to the 1-MS. Weight is similar but mounting options are so much better with The Edge. The attached swivel mounted bracket serves as a table stand, covered on the bottom to protect surfaces and keep it quietly where you put it. Swivelled out, that same bracket easily mounts to a wall with two screws through the pre-drilled holes. Screws around the swivel allow a range of tension from fingertip adjustable to firm hold, making it ideal for both mounting scenarios.

Top quality product hard to find in reta...
Top quality product hard to find in retail stores Advance, Auto Zone, and Walmart anywhere in my state. Better price than others making this a great value. Performance proven significantly better than competition by independent testers.
