Eastwwod and Reynolds at their usual crazy best.

Clint Eastwwod and Burt Reynolds are the perfect mismatch in this 1930's story about a Kansas City police lieutenant (Eastwood) and an ex-cop now private detective (Reynolds) always at loggerheads with each other. When Reynold's business partner is killed by a big time gangster, our boys go after him in their own inimitable styles, often crossing paths with humorous results. The gangster's accountant has the evidence they need to put away the gangster guy for life, so our boys have to get that satchel of evidence from him any way they can. Much fun and action in this film, with laughs and punches galore. It's the only film these two giants of the silver screen have appeared in together.
