I have only two minor concerns which may or may not prove to be issues in longer term use. Firstly and most important is a warning within the operating instructions that it should not be used in a humid environment. I require it for use in yacht racing, so it will be subject to occasional damp operation, and it is yet to be seen how this will affect its life span.
Secondly, and only a minor niggle is that the display units (M/S, Knots etc) must be selected each time the unit is turned on. During operation which results in the unit being used spasmodically over a long period, this is an additional operation which must be preformed repetitively. Other hand held anemometers which I use will retain the selected display units In memory when the unit is shut down and turned back on.
