A very good movie, better than the U.S. version, including more background.
1 of 1 found this helpful I've seen this book for a long time and from just the title it didn't spark my interest. I read the reviews when the U.S. movie version came out and went to see it which I enjoyed. The U.S. version left holds in the story that was essential to knowing about her background. (This was not addressed at all) I'd seen many international movies so I decided to see the Swedish version which answered glaring questions. Two days ago I received the other two international versions of "...Hornet's Nest" and "...Played with Fire", neither of which I've seen yet. Oddly, Rotten Tomatoes shows all 3 movies were make for about $4 million each. The U.S. version cost $100 million, that according to the director who I saw interviewed with the two main characters on Charlie Rose. I didn't see where the other $96 million spent. Then again, that's the U.S.
