The best-designed box I could hope to own

I adore Outlaw Star and wanted to own the most premium possible version of it. The packaging designed after the XGP/Outlaw Star ship is absolutely phenomenal for displaying, and the included art book is a nice bonus, but if you're just looking to own the series on blu-ray, the discs are identical to what you get in the much less expensive Classics release currently being sold at retail. Still, if you're a tremendous fan of the series and want something nice to show your love, this is a good way to go; just be prepared to pay primarily for the box.
