Cheap and therefore just ok.
I wanted these to be good but so far a let down. Here's why:
The terminal will just not crimp properly, even with two types of professional crimping tools. I have not tried those cheap all in one crimping, stripping, cutting type so maybe they will work with them, unsure. It is as if the crimp barrel is always too big for the gauge of wire, or the metal itself is too flimsy to hold the wire.
I did get one or two to crimp ok with the proper tool but it cut the insulation/shrink shielding on the terminal, super soft shrink.
The shrink works ok but more melts into the wire insulation than shrinking, not such a bad thing I guess.
Bottom line is they are cheap and in bulk. May work better with those all-in-one crimp tools but I wouldn't be building a space vehicle or anything that your life depends on.

LS swap option
I purchased this switch for my LS swap into 68 Camaro. My harness does not utilise the factory 3 pin sensor at the back of the block for oil pressure parameters , but I did want to utilise the factory OIL light on the dash so I purchased this switch. Simply unscrew your factory M16 three pin sensor, and screw this switch in. The electrical connector is Bosch style, or Bosch EV1 injector connector so you can buy one of those to finish up a tidy install. Triden is a pretty reliable company so I’m not expecting any issues.

Quality with that classic style.
In preparation for my LS swap in my 68 Camaro, I purchased this gauge to replace my direct reading water temp gauge as they can’t be fitted to LS heads, (without drilling and tapping) but I wanted to ensure the gauge operated correctly on my existing SBC before I swapped out the engine.
The kit comes with a two adapters, 1/2 & 3/4 NPT, the temp probe (this probe also can’t be fitted to LS heads without drilling and tapping, use PN AU2259), the back lighting, mounting bracket and instructions. You will need 6.3mm female spade connectors (3), 18awg wire, a fuse holder and 3amp fuse if you are not running off an existing instrument circuit, plus Teflon tape to finish your installation.
The chrome outer bezel is timeless and classic for any old skool muscle car or hot rod, matches my direct reading oil pressure exactly and that gauge was manufactured in 2004.
Interestingly, the temperature reading is 10-15 degrees Fahrenheit cooler than the older direct reading gauge, but I am putting this down to the location on the head being so close to the headers and the heat effecting the capillary tube.
The gauge responds quickly to temperature changes such as when the fans come on.
Autometer gauges are like ARP bolts, they just work because the quality is there from R&D and millions of in field results.
Quality product, works great, easy installation if you follow the instructions and Outlaw had the cheapest gauge on eBay, overall, very happy.
