It is of wonky quality, but...
Yeah, the sound quality for this recording isn't great, yet to get to hear Captain Beyond in their hayday is an interesting musical artifact; considering there was no thought to record any of their gigs—except for this one (and one TV appearance over in Europe). Everyone was too busy with booze, drugs, and groupies to think about this aspect of legacy.
Captain Beyond should had been big, yet internal demons, egos, and a stupid interference from the record label wanting them to dress like the Village People (as that was the in-thing at that time in music) quashed what could had been... By the third album it was sadly pretty much over.
Their self-titled first release should be heard and fully enjoyed for the classic space-rock album that it is.
This live recording is interesting even in the sad state of its release and will only appeal to hardcore fans.

Excellent purchase and a must for every Dr. Who fan.
Figured to upgrade my poor VHS tape that was directly recorded from TV the evening this was first broadcast.
Sure glad I got this to replace that tape.
Lots of Bonus material on the 2nd DVD Disc.
