I enjoy collecting the small frame Taurus revolvers, and install these springs and MBT grips on every one.

This fan moves a huge amount of air in a small, lightweight package
Solid build, lightweight but sturdy. Almost no moving parts to break, and the built in handle doubles as a kickstand to tilt it back for 45° or 90° airflow. The air stream is very strong and focused, almost like a leaf blower. I bought this fan to ventilate a large unfinished attic space, and it does a great job. Be aware, this fan is powerful and, as such, it's loud. Even on the low setting you wouldn't want to try sleeping in a room with it. I saw where one reviewer sawed the entire snout off in an effort to quiet it down. The grille covering the blower nozzle produces a lot of turbulence and noise, but is easily removable by drilling out the four aluminum pop rivets. This reduces the noise noticeably, if not considerably. Anyway, I liked it so much I bought two.

Garmin Drive 53 w/Traffic works great without a cell phone
I'm one of those people who don't use a smart phone anymore, although I have managed fleets of them in the past during my IT career. I wanted a device with live traffic updates that did not require a cellular connection. The screen is smallish but bright, clear, and uncluttered with unnecessary info. The plus side is my compact car has a small dash and no flat surfaces so anything larger would not fit as well. I have no trouble reading it at a glance, day or night. For updates you must connect via provided USB cable to a Windows or Mac and install Garmin's Drive Express software. I'm disappointed there is no Linux support, so you must use Wine or create a virtual machine w/Windows for updating. I am still very pleased with it.
