Not at all Ready For Prime Time
The Ecobee switch is a "nice try" product. It's great in design, not great in implementation.
The first problem for some may be that it requires a common lead in the wiring box. Some older houses do not include this, and there's no way around it. Luckily, I have commons, but that's where the luck stops.
I could not even get the switch to work. The packaging is excellent and high quality. The instructions are simple. It just did not work once I connected it. All it would do is blink green, clearly an error code, but one for which there is no explanation (and I searched all the online forums). It might be that I was trying to control LED lights, I have noticed this issue with some "smart switches", but it was replacing a Lutron Caseta that works fine with these LED's.
The next problem is the support. I called the 800 number and was told there was a 9 minute wait, so I selected the automatic call back. 3 hours later I realized I had not been called back. I called again. Again a 9 minute wait, but this time I held on the line. After 45 minutes on hold I just gave up, so negative stars for (a) lying on the hold time (b) failure to execute a simple call back and (c) general overall failure to resolve the issue.
While I did not even get this far, I'm also led to understand by the instructions that the light switch portion has no dimmer and that the Alexa wake word cannot be changed. I have also seen in the support forums that the voice recognition is very weak.
On the bright side, the return was easy.
I would not recommend this switch as Ecobee seems to have rushed it to market without any plan to support it.

Works great with an old Delta 3 310 MHZ system
This does not look the the highest quality unit in the world, but after trying 3 others, this one, at least, works, and fits on your keychain and it's about the same size as a BMW key.
The instructions listed are "almost english", so I'll present my version below:
Instructions to program "1":
1. Press "1" and hold for the entire process below
1. The red light will come on
2. Keeping "1" pressed, press on "2" three times, until the lights flash twice
3. Keeping "1" pressed, within 5 seconds, put the original remote next to the new controller and hold down the button on the old controller until the indicator light on the new unit flashes 3 times
3. Release "1"
THEN ... try it out on the door -- press the "1" button, it should open.
You can program the other buttons the same way -- all while holding down the key you want to program ... wait for the light, press any other button three times for the 2 flash, within 5 seconds press and hold the old remote, wait for the the 3 flashes.
Pretty good range (15-20 feet)
Works with an old 310mhz gate system (Delta 3)

This was one of the products recommended by my Dermatologist. I drive my car with the top down all summer, so she said she would give me something "that Men an put up with". She was absolutely correct. I can use this stuff every day and not feel oily or greasy. I've also noticed some "red spots" on my face starting to disappear.
I would highly recommend this to any men with sensitive skin in search of a "pro level" sunblock.
