lightweight bright, very fragile, cannot take the bouncing of the handle bars on the street, good for camping but not biking

Bought this at the store and it really took great pictures. Fantastic 8x10 shots
gave it to my teenage daughter and soon the battery latch/spring broke but it still worked.The joystick then broke. I had accessories so I bought a used one on Ebay. It takes greats shots. Body is weak and cheaply made. If your take extra good care of it (being a camera nut, I usually do) this should last a while. Controls are good, excellent enlargements, easy to use and could do it with one hand. Can't be heavy handed with the door or the joystick. Certainly would not tolerate a gentle bounce on the ground. Extremely happy with quick snapshots, picture quality at 6mp close if not equal to my D-SLR.

2 of 2 found this helpful Had this lens and the sigma 18-200 and I also have the older 28-200. This lens beats the other two at the same F stop. Kept at F 5.6 this lens has been very sharp and good color rendition. It is small and compact. IT is quite sharp for 8x 10 pictures. I shot wedding candids and the pictures were quite good and friends were quite pleased. It is small and compact. My daughter likes this due to its light weight. I have been keeping this lens on the camera at all times. The 18-250 range is quite useful. I have been very impressed on how sharp this lens is. Focus speed is the same as the other lens. Focusing noise is also similar.
