The Liners DVD vol1 - A must buy for Ship Enthusiasts
This is without a doubt one of the finest documentaries on the great Ocean Liners I have seen. The detail and rare footage of this 2 DVD series makes it a must have for any Ship or Ocean Liner enthusiast. Vol 1 takes you back to the 1800's where sail dominated the sea. From here you are taken to the introduction of steam and the birth of the first true ocean going passenger liners. We see the commissioning of the first Iron Hull "Superliners" and the stories behind some of the worlds most memorable ships such as the Lusitania and Titanic. We are also taken through the troublesome times of World War 1 and see how much impact and influence these Iron Giants made to the world. With comments from Maritime Historians, Passengers, Ship builders and Architect's you really do get a good understanding of how ocean liners came to be. The content is presented in a way thats easy to follow and understand. Again a very enjoyable DVD. Volume 1 is easy to find but Vol 2 seems almost impossible to purchase. Hopefully it's is still available so people are given the opportunity to look back and see some of the finest times in Maritime History.

Great upgrade to replace the factory chrome trim. Looks much better.
