Poor construction and design despite having good sound
1 of 1 found this helpful The plastic tabs BREAK EASILY. I used a hand-turned screwdriver and was VERY careful, however over half the tabs broke!!!! Glad there are 6 because there were 3 that didn't fail. I've installed hundreds of electrical boxes that have the same type of tabs to grab and hold the wall... they should have used the SAME design and materials instead of the ultra cheap, ultra brittle plastic swing tabs. Also, without warning, the screws can easily slip past the black inside speaker cover and disappear up into the insides of the speaker housing... thus rendering them useless. Knowing all that... I was prepared to be ultra delicate on installing the 2nd speaker but that did not matter. Half of those clips broke also. Also, when using the template, you MUST cut OUTSIDE the template outline. If you do not, and cut anywhere on or inside the border line... it won't fit properly into the opening! My first one got wedged into the opening, and I didn't want to damage the drywall pulling it back out. So I had to use a rubber hammer and board to coax the speaker fully into the opening. Even then... it wasn't a perfect fit. Cutting on the OUTSIDE of the template for the 2nd speaker worked perfectly. Don't buy unless you get them for $35 apiece max. The sound is really good, if you don't botch the installation and can get them installed.

OMG WOW. Incredible sound in 7.1 blu-ray native format.
I liked my first BD100 so much that I bought the BD300 model (only difference is 7.1 sound vs 5.1). But neither unit you can find anywhere, anymore, except on ebay. For the price, these units deliver INCREDIBLE sound. THUMPING bass. FANTASTIC surround-sound processing. The only thing that really stinks is that there is no more support for these units as JBL/Harmon no longer make them :( but if you are looking for a slim, tiny system that pushes out really great sound - shop no more. I've tried SONY and other units... why did they stop making these I don't know as they sound INFINITELY better than ALL the other "soundbars" or home theater all-in-one's... even better than ones at much higher price points!
The one negative was the unit I bought on ebay, I didn't set up until my theater room was finished 9 months later. I discovered that several of the speaker ports were broken in back of the amp (I had to hard-solder the wires to the terminals!) and the ethernet port was fried (likely due to lightning). I did contact JBL and they said I could send it to a repair center, which is good... and I will do. This unit is WORTH IT.

Does NOT vacuum well. Mostly stirs up debris
I’ve owned a pool for 45 years and know how to vacuum one and what a good vac head is. This one is poorly designed. Very low guided flow into vac hose so most debris is just stirred up and scatters making your water cloudy. This is good for large debris ONLY but not proper vacuuming.
