Great for creating a locking and removable connector to hedphones.
I've had several connectors by Neutrik includign 3.5mm connectors and they are always really well made.
This mini XLR is very useful if you are wanting a removable connector for headphones that locks in place. If you are confident enough to take your headphones apart which I did with my old AKG K550s, you can drill a hole for this connector and put it in place. It helps to seal it with hot melt glue though.
I wanted to do this as I got used to my newer K550s which already have a mini XLR plug on them. Makes it handy if you want a different length cable for uses in different places.
