My first experience with eBay was in the late '90s when it first hit the scene. Honestly, I'm not even sure how we learned about it since cell phones were barely a thing and smart phones and social media did not exist. Must have been good old fashioned word of mouth. Anyway, I instantly became addicted. Since I had "adult" money, I bought all the things I wish I could have had as a kid - or tried to if I actually won a bid. Back then it was only auction based and when I lost out on some things it was beyond frustrating. I'm still sore about the '80s Voltron toy I lost in a bidding war...the jerk. I wonder where it is now! (goes to check eBay)
