Exactly what you want from a bedside clock
Note - the screen is smaller than most phone screens. If you want a big screen to watch videos in bed, this is not that.
It is an excellent clock+ the night time dimmer mode is perfect (I'm very fussy about light pollution at night), the sound is okay, and it has actual volume buttons. That work! (Take that, Google Home Mini!) It tells me the time, sets alarms, shows and tells the weather and any appointments I have coming up.
It does not flash photos at me when I'm trying to sleep, it doesn't have a camera, so no frantic diving behind the bed, if someone tries to video call me.
It does its job and does it well.
