You get what you pay for...
The first thing I noticed was that the rods appeared to have exceptionally high build epoxy on the guides. After stringing them up the high build epoxy all started cracking and falling off. Literally several guides have bare thread showing on some guides. All of them show air underneath the epoxy. One rod broke on the first salmon we hooked.
The rods looked very nice for the price and with cork grips, but I would not recommend them and would return them if the seller reads this and would accept a return. The only nice thing is that I am not out a pile of money.

Great reel for the money!
I use this reel for halibut off the beach. Prior to the baitrunner feature I was using a downrigger release attached to the beach rod holder. These reels are smooth and hold a pile of 60lb braid.
