Great all purpose lens!
This is a Great all purpose lens! Yes, it’s a little slow, with lower apertures than prime lenses, but it makes up for this with the flexibility of shooting situations it has. You can shoot close up, macro and long zoom, all in one lens, and it’s light enough to carry all day. If you’re looking for a do it all lens, look no farther!

OEM replacement for half the price!
This is an OEM replacement for half the price! I got a Nikon D700 on eBay, very clean for a great price. Came with a small capacity CF card, and the seller sent me a battery post delivery. The trouble was I didn’t have a charger for the battery. Since I didn’t know whether the OEM battery would take a charge, I bought the charger with one battery, so I’d have a spare. Both work equally well, take a good charge, and it’s a smart charger, so instead of a basic Charging vs Done light, this has a charge level indicator. This is very handy, if you need to grab an “almost charged” battery to resume shooting. I’ve never had a problem with Kastar batteries and chargers, so I highly recommend this one!

Great value for a great camera!
4 of 4 found this helpful Great value for a great camera! I got the camera body for a good price recently, and I’m very happy with it. It can use nearly all of Nikon’s AF lenses, as well as their manual AI lenses, so you have infinite choices of what to shoot with. Leave it on it’s full program mode to start, and the camera does your thinking for you. When you’re ready to experiment, it has many modes and settings to choose from, and you can save two sets of user-defined settings, for quick retrieval. While 16.2mp isn’t cutting edge, it’s plenty for most general purpose shooting. All around, a very sturdy camera body, and a great platform for your DSLR shooting!
