Extra $$ and time
Good looking AH-1G when finished. Because of age of these older kits, the water decals are are usually no good. This was the case on my first build. I had to go to an outside source to get the decals for
UNITED STATES ARMY made at a cost of $20.00+. Did not even try to do the sharks teeth. The rocket tubes do not show rockets, only the cover that houses them. The 40mm and 7.62mm nose gun weapons are located exactly opposite of the real weapons. This is a manufacture issue. You have to do some cutting and gluing to present as true.

Take extra care
Only entertaining if you are in to show and tell. A difficult aircraft to put together even at a 1/32 scale. The weakest link are the two skid-fuselage attachment points. Also, the rotor mast and body attachment point needs extra cutting to affix properly. The mini gun attachment is also a weak point. I do recommend it as it posses many challenging opportunities.

History alive in picture and word.
Great photos and equally excellent narrative on the history of the PBY's. I am using the photos to help me build a Guillows model 1/28 scale.
