Small footprint basic small office laser
3 of 3 found this helpful I had an inkjet printer that was used sporadically for printing invoices and labels. I purchased this because I was sick of the ink drying out before it was used.
It arrived in it's Pantum box with no other packaging. Inside the box it is extremely well packaged. All the parts were present and the quick start guide was more than adequate to get the printer set up, and to get going with printing over USB.
It is an excellent basic, extremely low cost laser printer. It may not win any awards for speed or quality of print, but as a low volume home office printer that takes up a tiny amount of space, I think it is excellent.
The starter toner is likely to last me several months, and the unit is extremely easy to change the cartridge.
It's paper handling seems excellent, and I have had no issues with jams or other malfunctions.
The feedback that the printer gives in the event of a malfunction (I had to try really hard to get it to have an issue) is limited. The only indicators are two LEDs, and I had to look up the meaning by finding the manual on the Pantum web site. I don't think this in any way detracts from the product at this price.

Safe power distribution
I bought two of these for my home lab, which has only two sockets.I have mounted them horizontally at the back of my bench.
On the back of each one, as mentioned in the description, there is an earthing point that projects. Because my bench back is constructed out of pallets, I just drilled a hole to accommodate this. As is also mentioned in the description these are designed for vertical mounting in 19 inch racks, and the earthing stud is designed to earth the rack itself. As I mentioned, I'm not using them for their intended purpose.
The flex supplied with these is plenty thick, and I can believe that it is rated to 16A, somewhat above the 13A I take as the maximum for UK domestic usage. I think they're a great way to accommodate all the low wattage wall warts and odds and ends that I'm running.

Good keyboard
This is a great little keyboard for the money.
It has my usual pet niggles about key placement on compact keyboards, where some compromises are made with regard to key placement, making this not my first choice for programming, but it's great for doing general correspondence. For the record, programming malevolent layout features are: moving the key, it should be next to Z. Moving the # key to above the Enter key. Shrinking the Enter key to move the # key, moving or removing the RCTRL key. Most of these features seem to be present to avoid having one extra column of keys
It sets up easily, both with my laptop and my Android phone, although the phone itself took a lot of fiddling to persuade it to use a UK layout, but that's normal and an Android problem not a keyboard problem.
The trackpad works really well, both with my laptop and with my phone, and is very responsive.
I haven't managed to exhaust the battery yet, and I have used it for five hours or so at a time, so I have no real concerns about the battery life for my purposes.
