A must have for 10-bit camera owners, great color features
A must have for sunlight shooting, the ability to see true color in log with non destructive editing is a plus, scopes, monitor assist and HDD recording at just a tap is worth every penny, On a 480gb ssd I'm getting 1hr:25min of 4k at 24fps recording. On the fly playback, scrub, xml tagging, most of these features are easy to integrate into post production workflow. Plus the ability to use a 10-bit camera and explore the future of HDR this is the tool.
The housing is what looks to be of mid grade plastic, adds a significant amount of weight if your rig is unbalanced, being almost twice the size of my sony a6500, you will want a cage to mount this to, I strongly suggest against using the camera shoe.
In the end it is a game changer, I can see this being the ultimate DP monitor on set, a bit overkill for a studio photographer, any outdoor situation where you want to see your screen in the sunlight, this is a no-brainer.
