Review: Beadstoppers
The critical tool for every beader! Use them to block the other end of your beading wire while you're working so the beads don't slip off the other end. Also good protection if you forget and pick up one side of your work in progress, and the entire creation would otherwise slip off the wire, crash to the floor and roll under the furniture. These puppies keep a tight clamp on the wire and will stay put even against the weight of heavy stones. Reliably avoids screwups, keeps your blood pressure from spiking when a disaster would otherwise occur, and makes beading a relaxing, organized pastime. Bonus points: you can bead up a necklace, clamp the ends off, baggie up your work, and tuck it into a "nearly done" basket until you find the perfect clasp for it. If you like to wait until the next major bead show in your area to score some lovely and better quality clasps, grab several packs of these to do that. You'll be thanking your lucky stars that you did so.

Book review: Scruples Two. An excellent read.
Even more compelling than Scruples, and carries those story arcs to breathtaking Heights. The resolution for each character is unexpected and quite satisfying. Load up on snacks, because you won't want to put this one down. Highly recommend!

CONE SHELL NECKLACE
Bought this for the pendant only. The beads it comes with have that summer beach cheap look and I wanted to bead the medallion up into a masterpiece. But, when I chopped off the Strand of little plastic and wood beads, carefully keeping the two little beaded loops through which it was strung, I got a real shock - - the medallion freed of that strand was just knock your eyeballs out gorgeous and fabulously high contrast. I zipped over to Joann Fabrics, grabbed a simple black velveteen cord with a clasp already attached, and threaded the cord through the loops. Done in less than sixty seconds. Bee-u-ti-ful! Looked very high end and really dramatic. Can't say enough good things about this pendant. Buy it, upgrade it, and enjoy a truly knockout piece.
