Mic sounds good but cord length is misleading

The cord that was sent is 3 feet long instead of what looks like a much longer cord in the picture showed. I believe the ad states that it may be different from the one shown but I assumed it would at least 6 ft long. You know a useable length. Who in the world would try to sing with a mic that has a 3 ft cord? I feel like it is misleading. I would have likely bought the mic anyway but just say the cord included for free is 3 ft long and the 6 ft cord will be $xxxx more dollars.
