Fit for purpose
I bought this D-Shackle to make an eye over the monkey of an old Ajax Wool Press. It fitted perfectly. It is strong enough for the job, making it safe to lift the monkey high above the working area. Being galvanised, it won't rust and should out live me.

Handy
We had a small space between the stove and bench. This fitted well and keeps the tea-towels handy and off the oven door handle. The only negative is that is a bit jerky, but this may improve with use.

A Sham
The new recipes are by Beverley LeBlanc, the Mama text by Dominic Utton. Both of these don't seem Italian. The is a disclaimer that says all characters are fictitious! One recipe refers to a Marinara Sauce that doesn't contain any seafood. Another translates Linguine alla Puttanesca as Anchovy Linguine, rather than The Prostitute's Linguine. The layout and pictures are excellent, The narrative is excellent, but this "flops" when you find that it is all fiction!
